Inis Meain Knitting Co. have been producing high quality knitted clothing and accessories for over 40 years, right on the island of Inis Meain. The company’s devotion to keeping the craft of knitting alive in the Aran Islands has let them grow since the company’s founding in 1976.
This particular jacket is a revered style of the brand’s signature carpenter jacket with the seams being exposed. Crafted using a merino wool and cashmere blend, this composition will add great strength and immense comfort to the jacket.

Inis Meáin is a very modern company, with a highly-educated, well-trained workforce using the most up-to-date machinery. The Irish business uses their machinery differently to most other companies with the same technology – because they choose not to mass-produce. Instead, specializing in small runs of new styles and changing the settings on machinery several times each day, so that up to 50 different styles can be produced each season.
